Preserve the relationship between your logo and supporting text, then adjust the pattern crop for each mailer shape. On the slimmer format, a shorter message or less dense repeat can leave more breathing room. Check the filled and handheld views as well: fingers, folds and side gussets change which parts of the design are immediately visible.
