Smoke Effect Vinyl Record & Cover v.2 Mockup

For an album that needs texture without a busy splatter pattern, this v.2 smoke-effect mockup offers a quieter direction. Fine linear markings sit within cloudy color on the record, which overlaps its cover in a coordinated packaging presentation.

The scene helps you compare subtle vinyl colors with your sleeve image and center-label typography. It can support a pale tonal edition, a darker mood or a restrained accent, while keeping the artwork and camera view consistent.

Build Contrast Without Adding More Color

A subtle smoke treatment can look flat when the record, label and background are too similar in brightness. Before introducing another hue, try a lighter or darker label and a contrasting background. This can preserve the quiet character of the disc while making the release easier to recognize.

Show the Artwork and the Effect at Two Scales

Use one export to show the complete record-and-cover relationship, then a closer crop to reveal the fine surface pattern. These can be two views of the same design rather than two color options. Label them accordingly in a client presentation to avoid confusion.

Check the Manufacturing Brief Separately

The smoke treatment is a rendered design concept. Its exact texture and color distribution should not be promised as the result of a physical pressing. Confirm available materials and effects with the manufacturer, and use its technical templates for the final print artwork.
