Smoke Effect Vinyl Record & Cover v.4 Mockup

A mottled smoke texture brings movement to the record without the sharply separated marks of a splatter finish. In v.4, the disc overlaps an album cover, allowing you to develop the effect palette, sleeve artwork and center label as one coordinated release concept.

Use the scene to explore whether a smoky edition should echo the cover’s dominant color or introduce a quieter supporting tone. The visible grooves keep the presentation recognizably vinyl while the irregular light and dark areas add character across the surface.

Separate Palette Choices from Layout Choices

When reviewing a smoky edition, change the record palette first and keep the cover, label and background consistent. Then adjust the cover position. This separates two different decisions: which colors suit the release, and how much of the sleeve should remain visible beside the disc.

The smoke pattern is a visual representation, not a technical recipe for pressing vinyl. A manufacturer may produce a different distribution of color. Confirm feasible effects with the pressing plant and use its templates for final sleeve and label artwork.
