Design for the Part That Remains Visible

Let the top coaster carry the complete message. Much of each lower coaster is hidden by the stack, so treat those exposed edges as supporting color and pattern rather than essential reading space. A bold symbol or short line of type can stay legible when the presentation is reduced to a small image.
