Wispy, branching marks run through the smoky vinyl surface in this v.3 record-and-cover scene. Its fine, irregular texture offers an atmospheric way to present an album without relying on solid color blocks or scattered splatter dots.

The record overlaps the sleeve, making the center label, disc treatment and cover artwork visible together. Use that relationship to test whether a detailed sleeve needs a restrained vinyl palette or a stronger accent picked from the artwork.

Preserve the Fine Wisps in a Smaller Export

Detailed smoke texture can become less distinct when an image is reduced for a release feed or store thumbnail. Compare the full composition with a closer crop made from the same PSD. Keep the center label and part of the sleeve in that crop so the detail still communicates an album presentation, not an isolated texture.

Keep Presentation and Production Files Separate

A mockup shows an intended appearance, not a guaranteed physical smoke pattern. Confirm achievable color combinations with the pressing plant. Supply the final cover and label artwork in the manufacturer’s requested templates rather than sending a rendered mockup as production artwork.
