Multi-color Segments Effect Vinyl Record & Cover Mockup v.2

Two upper color areas meet a broad lower wedge in this tri-segment vinyl record mockup. Slightly feathered boundaries and a narrow accent at the top give v.2 its own character, while the full disc overlaps a square cover in a clear front-facing view. Present the record colors, sleeve artwork and center label as one release concept.

A Three-Part Effect with Soft Color Boundaries

Change the special-effect colors to echo the cover palette or introduce a contrasting lower section. Customize the center-label and sleeve designs and colors, move the cover, and edit or hide the optional movable sticker. Background color and texture changes are supported, with separate object and drop-shadow layers for transparent-background exports.

Artwork Editing in Photoshop or Photopea

Open the organized PSD in Adobe Photoshop CC2020 or newer, or Photopea. Add your designs to the relevant Smart Objects and save the edits to update the main composition. Then adjust the record colors to review how the whole package works together.

Use the Lower Wedge as a Visual Anchor

Try a dark lower section with lighter upper colors to give the disc visual weight, then reverse that balance for a different mood. Keep the label artwork unchanged during this test. The comparison can reveal whether the record supports the cover or distracts from its main image.

Plan the Sticker Before the Launch Image

The optional sticker is a useful place to preview an edition name or short release message. Test it at the intended export size and keep it away from important cover lettering. A version without the sticker can serve as a second presentation when the artwork needs more breathing room.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does v.2 include several record views?

No. It contains one front-facing PSD scene. The gallery demonstrates different palettes applied to that scene.

Can I change the label and cover independently?

Both the center label and cover support color and design changes, allowing different artwork on each surface. The cover can also be repositioned.

Is the segmented effect a technical pressing template?

No. This is a visual presentation of a proposed record. Ask your manufacturer to confirm color availability and the achievable effect before production.
